Artwork by Berit Mogensen Lopez exclusively for the Danish manufacturer. Printed on high-quality 265g art paper.

Berit Mogensen Lopez received her education in textile design at the Danish School of Design. Since 2001, he has been mainly involved in designing clothing and prints for the fashion industry.

Over the last few years, she has devoted more time to product development in the field of furniture textiles, which has resulted in her own line of handmade rugs, based on geometric collages, which she developed simultaneously with an emphasis on colors and graphic compositions.

Berit Mogensen Lopez is an artist based in Copenhagen who draws inspiration from her previous work in the fashion industry as a designer. Her unique paper collages and expressive paintings are created using selected elements, characterizing Berit's work in her particular attention to color and use.

“Colors and shapes resonate with emotions like music.”

When Berit paints, he looks for beauty in surfaces and color clashes. He likes a raw and unpolished form of art that distorts the image. If it becomes too pretty and predictable, it's too easy. For Berit, art is a completely different dimension. Escape from everyday life. And her work reflects this through her abstract prints.

“It's always about the tension between the controlled and the uncontrolled.”

She admits that the combination of manual and digital work poses challenges to her process.

“Just as I love the immersion and time-consuming nature of hand painting and working with textiles, wood and paper, I also love the quick results and possibilities of working digitally.”

Berit graduated from the Royal Danish Academy of Fine Arts in 2001 with a degree in Fashion and Textile Design. She has been working in the fashion industry for many years, but her collection of hand-tufted rugs has found its way into the interior design industry, designing textiles for larger companies. Since entering the world of interior design, Berit has delved deeper into art and been absorbed by the endless possibilities.
